Horticultural & Craft Training for People with Learning Disabilities

The Kitchen

Working in the kitchen, service users will learn cooking, domestic and life skills. They are taught to weigh and measure ingredients and complete a recipe accurately. They will learn to prepare and chop fruit and vegetables and are taught the importance of keeping the kitchen and themselves, safe, clean and hygienic. They will be involved in using the tumble dryer to do laundry.

Service Users have great pleasure seeing their cakes, pastries, jams & chutneys sold in the shop. We are lucky to have a regular customer base, who support us over the years, so we have been able to refurbish and update our equipment.
