Apuldram’s 25th Anniversary Cream Tea

Cream Tea 3

A huge thank you to everyone who helped support the Apuldram Centre’s 25th Anniversary Cream Tea Celebrations. It was a glorious day, with the centre raising just over £3000 and supplying 240 cream teas!

We were so well supported by everyone and it was a lovely party to celebrate our 25 years. We made about £1,000 on the auction and tombola alone. Everything we auctioned off had been donated by local businesses and restaurants. Visitors enjoyed music, cream teas, plant stalls, bric a brac and crafts – while others simply soaked up the sun.

Two long serving Apuldram staff said tearful farewells to the Apuldram Centre last month. Both Pam Porter and Rosie Peskett enjoyed leaving parties at the Centre as a little thank you for all their hard work over the years. Fish n chips were the order of the day for trainees and staff as we surprised Pam Porter with a retirement party on her last day after 11 years service. On the 30th April 2014, the Apuldram Centre also said goodbye to Rosie Peskett with a BBQ and drinks wishing her well in the future. See pictures and more details below.

Trainees enjoyed an incredible day out at the ACC Pool Tournament 2014. Some close matches, lots of cheering and some near misses made this year’s event a real classic. ACC ran out the winners, but some impressive team performances from Apuldram made the tournament a close-run thing.
