Donations of any size are always welcome and make a huge difference to us as a small, local charity. Thank you!
You can donate in a number ways, as indicated below or of course feel free to contact us and we can help guide you with your donation.
You may also want to consider a LEGACY GIFT in your Will, these have become popular in recent times as individuals wish to leave to charity as part of their final wishes. VOLUNTEER
We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities both at our dedicated Day Centre and in central Chichester at “Hub Club”.
Our volunteers are invaluable in enabling us to deliver an enhanced person centered service to the people who we support. Volunteering opportunities are varied and flexible to meet mutual needs.
A large majority of our volunteers are local to the community of Chichester and surrounding suburbs and varying in age, life and work experiences, but all have a passion for making a difference and having fun.
At the Day Centre volunteering roles include supporting trainees (the people who we support) to have a great experience in their chosen place of activity. You’ll be supported by the staff instructor to assist trainees to reach their potential, working on a 1:1 basis or as part of group.
Day Centre volunteering roles include; Kitchen, Shop , Horticultural, Woodwork and Arts and Crafts . Equally if you’ve got a talent and would like to share it do let us know!
Volunteers at the Hub Club in central Chichester are known as Support Volunteers. The Hub Club is a lively location where adults with learning disabilities come together to socialise, have fun and participate in a range of activities from street dance to numeracy. Support Volunteers befriend and encourage participants to make the most of their attendance.
No previous experience is required however we would like you to be; friendly, understanding, responsible, reliable and caring.
If you are interested in finding out more, or would like to offer your services, please give us a call on 01243 783370 for a chat or email info@apuldram.org
Don’t just take our word for it………
‘Hello I’m Geinor… Having retired from teaching I really missed contact with people. A friend suggested volunteering at Apuldram. I became a regular volunteer in the shop, working alongside a trainee serving teas, coffees and cakes, as well as selling the products produced here at the centre’
‘Hello I’m Terry…. I had recently moved to the area, when my wife noticed the advert in the local paper and became a volunteer herself. She suggested I pop in for a look around, and now I’m volunteering in the woodwork department two days a week. I find it relaxing and satisfying working alongside the trainees’
