The Kitchen

Under the direction of our Head of Kitchen trainees participate in a range of cookery activities creating produce that supplies our on-site shop/café or learning practical skills to enable them to cook at home, plan meals and choose a healthy balanced diet. Trainees working in the kitchen learn the basic food safety and take great pride in seeing their homemade cakes, bakes or savouries enjoyed by customers in our shop.

Throughout the year the kitchen prepares seasonal lunches and trainees get the opportunity to experience a restaurant style service.
